How We Work With Brands
Ben's Watch Club strives to provide viewers and readers with thorough, honest coverage of the most popular affordable watches.
Unfortunately, reviewing watches is an expensive business. Despite our large viewer base, wristwatch reviews don't earn enough to cover the purchase cost of most timepieces. While we would love the resources to buy everything, it would be unsustainable without crowdfunded support; we'd prefer our content to be free to view. As such, we work with various retailers and brands who provide us with review samples at our request.
Unlike other large publishers (despite some tempting offers), we don't accept monetary compensation from brands in exchange for a review spot or positive coverage. Brands don't dictate our content.
Here’s the deal:
All arrangements are ad-hoc; we choose watches based on what we think you'll find most interesting and useful.
We maintain strict creative and editorial control over all content produced using products from brands or retailers. We can make what we want and say what we want with no strings attached.
Our content is not vetted by brands/retailers. They only see videos or blog posts at the same time as you do; once they're published.
To reduce potential bias, we do not accept in-video/article sponsorships from watch brands.
Product sampling is disclosed orally or in writing in every review.
We affiliate link the watches we review to earn a small commission on qualifying purchases. However, you can shop at the retailer of your choosing instead.
We believe an honest, critical approach is the best way to serve viewers and readers long-term. By helping you make a great purchasing decision (with no buyer's remorse), we hope you'll return the next time you're considering a watch purchase; you'll know we'll give you the whole story.
If you're a watch brand or retailer interested in working with us in the above capacity, please use our contact page. Thank you.
