Recommended: Orient Bambino Series

Want a stylish dress watch that looks far more expensive than it actually is? Well, the Orient Bambino range is pretty much unbeatable. Orient, now a subsidiary of Seiko, has a history dating back to 1901, and the popular Bambino range has been the go-to affordable dress watch for several years.

Original 40.5mm Versions

There are several versions and colors of this watch available. The most popular in the standard Bambino series is either the Bauhaus-inspired, minimalist V3 variant, or the vintage-looking V2 option, though all boast beautiful domed glass and an in-house automatic movement, it’s bound to turn heads. In recent times, other sizes have released, which you’ll find linked below.

Orient Bambino V1-V3 Specifications:

  • 40.5mm diameter

  • 11.8mm depth (including glass)

  • Orient automatic movement

  • Stainless steel case

  • Domed hardened mineral glass

  • 3ATM water resistance

Orient Bambino 38mm

Smaller Versions

Following the success of the regular Bambino lineup, Orient released both a 36 and 38mm versions of the watch, which are virtually identical to the originals except for the case size. Out of the two, the 38mm is far more readily available and comes in more colors; you can read my full review of it here.

Orient Bambino V4 (42mm)

Larger Version

While incredibly similar to the V1 in terms of appearance and performance, the V4 is notably larger, at 42mm; making it the preferred option for those with a large wrist, in the market for a big dress watch.
