The highly anticipated Orient Mako III finally debuted in 2023, after years of speculation. It was well worth the wait! With some favorable design tweaks and explosive new colorways, I praised this new release when I reviewed it, commenting on the string of improvements Orient had implemented.
Not only does the Mako III look better than its predecessor, it also outdoes most rivals at its price, with top-notch finishing and a sapphire crystal - the upgrade Orient fans were really hoping for. The bracelet, too, has a good number of micro adjustment holes to help you find a great fit, meaning you won’t need to swap it out any time soon.
While this one received a price bump over the last generation, it did meet my expectations and is a straightforward recommendation if you’re after a sexy dive watch. It fits about a millimeter smaller than the diameter suggests.
